Training School of Life Skills
(TSOLS)
One of the earliest initiatives that Maria set up was to
provide practical and vocational support for young adults
to become self-sufficient. Within TSOLS these young adults,
who often include young mothers, are provided with structured
training in areas such as sewing and book keeping. This enables
them to get paid work in Kamuli or the neighbouring towns
and villages. This training is provided free of charge as
the individuals typically have no means to pay any fees.
There are 7 staff and about 80 students tutored in Craft, Tailoring and Secretarial.
These range between the age of 15 and 25 years.
Future Plan:
- Purchase of more reference books
- Acquiring Uganda National Examination Board Center.
- Students study tour.
