As part of our fundraising efforts we offer personalised Gift Certificates. This 'alternative' present idea has captured the imagination of many people who would like to give money to our charity 'in lieu' of a present.

You can choose your certificate preference, e.g. school fees for a term, a pig, a mosquito net, etc.and we will send you a colourful, personalised certificate to acknowledge your gift. See the pictures opposite for some examples.

There are no specific constraints on the scope of the scheme, with certificates being given as Christmas, birthday, and Easter gifts, plus retirements, leaving gifts, special anniversaries, wedding presents and even very humorous certificates e.g. 50 shoes for a 50th birthday.

How does it work ?

1. You decide on the level of donation and choose your certificate preference from the list on the donations page, which gives you an idea of some ways your money may be spent.
In order to administer our finances, your donation will be directed to where it is most needed at the time. However, all the items on our list are being supplied to those in need in Uganda.

You can choose several items to go on one certificate, e.g. Pig & Pig Sty; A goat & seeds for crops; School text books & school fees.

2. Complete the Gift Certificate Form and send the form plus your donation (cheques only - made out to Christian Relief Uganda to:

3. If you are unable to download the form:
+ send a letter with your cheque to CRU Admin (see above);
+ make sure you include your name & address;
+ describe your certificate preference e.g. school text books, children's shoes, classroom teaching equipment;;
+ say who the donation is from (e.g. Mary, Granddad);
+ say who the donation is for (e.g. Dad, Aunty Flo, George);
+ add any special messages -
(e.g.'Happy Birthday'; 'Merry Christmas'; 'With all our love')
(Please give the wording as you want it to appear on the certificate)

4. On receipt of your request an individually prepared certificate will be produced and sent out in accordance with your instructions.
